I have an idea for SVC-CAMFT staff inquiring about a possible internship for earning hours for a MFT license.

I have recently read the article "Veterinarians and Mental Health" in the March/April 2023 issue of the The Therapist Magazine published by  CAMFT. The author, Florence Soares-Dabalos,  suggests a need  for MFTs to work with veterinarians and vet techs due to a competitive nature of their education and professional life. She stated that two Universities in CA train veterinarians, one of which is UC Davis, close to Sacramento. 

I did not know of any internships sponsored by UC Davis for MFT associates and students when I was earning my MFT hours years ago.  I wonder if SVC-CAMFT staff could contact them to inquire about a placement for members of SVC-CAMFT who wish to earn hours for their MFT license.   If an internship does not exist, perhaps the staff could make a request to start an internship at the UC Davis Veterinarian School for members of SVC-CAMFT.
