Hello Sacramento Valley CAMFT community,

I’m looking to connect with an LMFT who is currently employed by the State of California in that role. My goal is to better understand the process of moving from my current position as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) into an LMFT role within the state system.

While I recognize that private practice often offers higher earning potential, I already have six years with the state and plan to complete at least nine more to take advantage of student loan forgiveness and vesting for post-employment medical benefits.
