Job descriptionAbout Us: SagePoint Intensive Outpatient Program is located in Elk Grove, CA. We are a premier provider of intensive outpatient services treating adults 18+ with substance use disorders and dual diagnosis. Our treatment philosophy is rooted in compassionate care, whole person focus, and trauma-informed interventions. Position Summary: We are seeking a PART-TIME Group Therapist in our Intensive Outpatient Program specializing in substance use disorders and dual diagnosis. (12-15hrs/week). **Please note - this is an in-person position. The Group Therapist is responsible for conducting group therapy sessions, treatment planning, and working in collaboration with the Treatment team to support client’s needs. Groups are held – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00am - 1:00pm. Job Duties: - Facilitate clinically-oriented group therapy for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
- Provide skill building, psycho-educational, Relapse Prevention, and process-based groups
- Collaborate with clinical team members to help further treatment goals
- Complete group progress notes that provide detail on each clients’ participation, progress towards goals, and highlights medical necessity
- Maintain and model professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and confidentiality
- Maintain clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies.
Qualifications and Requirements: - Masters Degree in mental health or related field required
- One to Three Years of work experience treating Substance Use Disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders in a group setting.
- Well versed in a variety of modalities and have confidence integrating them into your treatment approach (DBT, CBT, EMDR, MI, Mindfulness, etc)
- Passionate about the benefits of group therapy and skilled in conducting group therapy
- Familiarity with and willingness to use cloud-based communication software (i.e. KIPU)
- Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) as a licensed therapist: LPC, LADC, LCSW, LMFT or Associate: AMFT, ACSW, APCC.
