This program will benefit LMFT, LPCC, LEP and LCSW licensees and pre licensees by introducing attendees to EMDR Therapy which is a evidencebased therapy.
Come and learn more about EMDR Therapy. Kim Johnson will be providing a wealth of information regarding what EMDR Therapy is, how it works and how to integrate in your clinical practice. After the presentation you will be able to answer most of your clients' questions about EMDR Therapy. So, come with an open mind, ready to learn and ask questions. Kim particularly invites audience interaction.
1. Participants will learn about how EMDR Therapy works, specifically the Adaptive Information Processing, the neurobiology of memory and right brain psychotherapy which enhances attachment.2. Participants will learn how to integrate EMDR into their clinical practices utilizing it with children as young as age 2 and most diagnoses. Examples of clinical cases will be provided.3. Participants will have the opportunity to observe a live demonstration of EMDR Therapy.

Kim Johnson, L.C.S.W. was trained in EMDR in 2000. Over the years she became an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, Approved Consultant and Trainer for EMDR Basic Training. Ms. Johnson has been in private practice for over 25 years and integrates EMDR with most of her clients. She specializes integrating EMDR with children and clients diagnosed with dissociative disorders. Additionally, she is involved in the EMDR community and encourages therapists to learn more about EMDR Therapy.
