I wanted to let you know that Evergreen Counseling recently hired two more EMDR-Certified clinicians who will be seeing clients in-person in Berkeley and remotely (all across California) beginning next week. 

Tina Larson, LPCC, and Smita Kapoor, LMFT are highly seasoned in EMDR and can work skillfully with more acute clients such as those who might come from complex trauma/developmental trauma backgrounds and present with dissociation, addiction, compulsions, and disordered eating as a result of their trauma experiences. They will see clients in-person in the Berkeley-based Evergreen offices as well as remotely across California and can provide EMDR therapy exclusively or adjunctively to your work with them. 

Tina is extensively trained in the treatment of PTSD, Complex PTSD, Dissociative Disorders, Mood Disorders and Co-occurring Substance Abuse utilizing EMDR Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, parts work via IFS, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Smita is also extensively trained in PTSD/CPTSD, disordered eating, and OCD and also really enjoys working with those who have experienced the trauma of systemic racism. Smita is trained in Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), ACT, IFS, and Anger Management. Please note: she can also conduct EMDR (and all therapy services) in Hindi. 

With Tina and Smita joining Evergreen, this brings our team of trauma-trained and trauma-informed clinicians to 15 (see the embedded flyer for a snapshot of who we are and what issues we treat).
