Join us for a Clinical Skills Workshop to enhance your therapeutic techniques and boost your confidence in the therapy room. This interactive workshop will focus on building foundational skills, exploring interventions, and engaging in hands-on practice through role-plays and discussions. Whether you're a student, trainee, or associate, this workshop offers a supportive space to refine your clinical approach and connect with fellow pre-licensed mental health professionals.
This workshop will provide therapists with essential tools for working with grief, loss, and caregiver burnout. We’ll explore the grieving process, recognize common signs of burnout, and discuss how these experiences impact both clients and their support systems. Practical interventions and strategies will be offered to help clinicians support clients navigating loss while also tending to their own well-being in the therapeutic role.
Presenter:
Iris McAlpin Garrett, AMFT is an associate therapist and NARM Master Therapist with advanced training in grief, loss, and complex trauma. She spent a year working in hospice, supporting individuals and families through end-of-life, bereavement, and caregiver burnout. Iris is passionate about helping both clients and clinicians navigate the complexities of grief and trauma with greater resilience and self-compassion.
Cost: FREE for chapter members, $5 for non-members.
If you are licensed, please pass this on to your associates or any pre-licensed individual in your community.
