We’re excited to continue with our new monthly book club as a space for thoughtful discussion, professional growth, and collective healing.
This month, we will finish our discussion of the book My Grandmother’s Hands by Resmaa Menakem, a powerful exploration of racialized trauma, somatic healing, and the ways we hold generational pain in our bodies. Through this book, we will engage in meaningful conversations about healing practices and how they relate to both our personal and professional lives as therapists.
A couple extra details:
This book club is open to all SVC-CAMFT chapter members interested in deepening their understanding of trauma, embodiment, and healing in a supportive community. Whether you’ve read the book before or are diving in for the first time, we welcome your insights and reflections.
We look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and heal together. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
