As we are constantly holding space for our clients in their difficult feelings and their painful stories, what is happening inside our own bodies? We might be having a stress response to what we hear them saying, even as we gently set that stress response aside so we can be fully present with them. In this workshop, we'll explore different ways of acknowledging that stress response and supporting its graceful resolution both within ourselves and with our clients. We'll explore techniques that can be used during the session to help you stay present and resourceful, as well as things you can do after the session to settle more for fully. Let's make sure we are giving our own nervous systems as much care and understanding as we give our clients!
