SVC-CAMFT's Response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
Ensuring the safety and security of our members, partners and attendees is of the highest importance to SVC-CAMFT, we are canceling all events scheduled for the month of March due to taking the necessary precautions associated with Covid-19. This includes the upcoming hiking event on March 21, and scheduled MeetUps.
SVC-CAMFT will continue to monitor all Coronavirus developments, news and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), California Department of Public Health and Sacramento County Public Health.
This is a rapidly evolving situation so we will continue to monitor updates and respond accordingly. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. Be safe and be well.

SVC-CAMFT Board Update 03/16/2020 : SVC-CAMFT is CANCELING AND REFUNDING April & May workshops (we hope to reschedule them later in the year) We are still waiting from responses for speakers for the 3000 Club April & May meetings to determine if they can moved online or they will be postponed to a later date. We will update as soon as we have finalized the details.

This program will benefit LMFT, LPCC, LEP and LCSW licensees and pre licensees by helping clinicians to be aware of self- biases, and, to be knowledgeable re standards of professional ethics as it applies to Child Custody cases, and litigation; including but not limited to, the needs of each party involved in the child custody matter.
The participants in this workshop will acquire a basic understanding of Child Custody and Litigation for the purpose to help the clinician apply counseling techniques associated with theory and/or practice of therapy. This 2 hour workshop is a brief overview of a complex and litigious area of Child Custody and involves the mental health well-being of all parties involved for the "Best Interest of the Child".
1. To understand the role of the mental health professional as it relates to Child Custody, Court Orders, and Child Custody Reports
2. To learn in a child custody case how to identify boundaries between therapist and client and boundaries between therapist and attorney(s)/Pro Per
3. Understand standards of professional ethics as it applies to Child Custody cases and litigation.
Presenter Bio:Dr. Mary Ann Frank holds a valid California license as a Marriage and Family Therapist and a valid California license as a Registered Nurse. Dr. Frank held Appointments by Superior Court of California Family Law Section Sacramento County, El Dorado County, Placer County, Sutter County and Yolo County as a Special Master, Private Child Custody Evaluator, Private Child Custody Recommending Counselor (Mediator), Reunification Counselor, Co-Parent Counselor and Family Therapist; and, Expert Witness in Superior Court of California Family Law Section Sacramento County, Sacramento Juvenile Court, El Dorado County, Placer County, Yolo County and Sutter County. As a workshop presenter she presented to the following professionals: Judges, Attorneys, Minor's Counsel, Child Custody Evaluators, Mediators, and Mental Health Professionals. Dr. Frank served on Committees related to Family Law Court Matters. She is a recipient of the Honorable Charles C. Kobayashi Award in 2002 "For Outstanding and Dedicated Service Toward The Betterment of Family Law". Dr. Frank co-presented at the 2016 Conference for the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts-California Chapter "Lighting the Path for Family Reorganization: Contemporary Challenges and Innovative Solutions". Dr. Frank wants to continue her involvement as a volunteer presenter/lecturer for the Mental Health Community at workshops sponsored by the Sacramento Valley Chapter-CAMFT as a way to give back to the Community through education.
Registration Policy Effective January 1, 2018 SVC-CAMFT event registration must be paid online except with prior approval. Registration dates and fees may vary and are subject to change without notice. Event discounts prices and discount periods may or may not be offered. Event registration is deemed complete during the registration period in which registration payment is received. Incomplete or unpaid registration will be cancelled and removed at the end of each registration period.
Refund Policy Cancellations received more than 7 days prior to an event may be subject to an administrative fee to cover costs of the initial transaction. No shows, failure to attend, and cancellations 7 or fewer days prior to an event for any reason are non-refundable, including registrations received fewer than 7 days prior to an event. No credit, refunds, or price adjustments will be given for typographical advertisement errors. A $25 fee in addition to the registration fee will be charged for insufficient funds, denied credit cards, or charge-backs.
