About Me
My goal as a therapist is to help individuals and couples find ways to live life more fully, communicate more effectively, and feel better about themselves and their relationships.

I want to help you become more self-aware, live more in the present, and assume more responsibility for taking care of yourself. My therapeutic style is thoughtful, active and non-judgmental. It’s my belief that every person has within them the tools necessary to address their concerns. It's my goal to collaborate with you to locate, strengthen and utilize your internal resources to make the changes you desire in your life.

I am trained to provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is especially useful for addressing problems related to trauma and troubling experiences of the past. Please contact me if you would like to discuss whether EMDR might be helpful for you.

I am LGBT affirmative and strive towards cultural competence. I am sex-positive and have experience working with, and am affirmative of, people in alternative relationships including polyamorous and open-relationships as well as those who engage in consensual kink.

Practice Info
What does therapy look like? The therapy process is highly individual. What works for one person might not work for another. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on what works best for you. Methods I use include traditional talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), somatic techniques, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and mindfulness approaches. My work is informed by current research in the areas of neuroscience, trauma and the mind-body connection.

I offer virtual therapy by video and phone to all California residents. Remote sessions offer the benefits of in-office therapy from the safety, comfort and convenience of your own home. Online therapy is also a great option if you live in a remote area, have mobility issues due to injury or chronic illness, are travelling, or have a busy work or school schedule.
