About Me
I am proud alumni of Cal Poly Pomona with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. In 2006, I earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. I have been licensed since October, 2012. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, listening to music, jigsaw puzzles and volunteering. With over 20 years of experience working within the mental health field I am committed to breaking the barriers and stigmas related to mental illness by promoting mental wellness. My experience derives from personal victories as well as my work within youth residential treatment facilities, outpatient community mental health agencies, adult forensic mental health programs and public and charter school settings.
Practice Info
I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental atmosphere of respect and dignity where each individual and family can be served. I aim to help children, adolescents, couples, individuals and communities heal, thrive and live authentically. It takes a lot of courage to enter into therapy, and I honor the opportunity to be a part of your journey. I meet each individual where they are using a client-centered, values based approach. This simply means you, your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and values are the main focus of therapy. I simply support you in aligning your actions with your values by using your strengths and resiliency. Because each person is uniquely different, I use a variety of interventions. My eclectic therapeutic style draws from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. I also utilize Brainspotting for trauma work.
