About Me
Katie Navarra is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who strongly believes we are ALL on a journey in this life and many times that journey leads us to the counseling room. The ups and downs, the struggles, hardships, joys, sorrows, desire to succeed and grow deep in our relationships with others, can all draw us to a place where we need someone to walk alongside us for a season. Counseling is a place where you can find rest, healing, and even a new start, all possible because WE all have potential, WE all have strengths, and sojourning with a counselor can help awaken those resources and healing that is already within us.
She received her Masters in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s College of California. She has extensive experience working with teens both in the community and in the counseling role, she has worked at multiple schools with children and their families, as well as in a Private Practice in the Bay Area. Katie loves to work with individuals, couples, and families, and children of all ages. Through a family systems approach to therapy and a belief in the importance of the therapeutic relationship, Katie utilizes compassion and empathy to sit with her clients in their pain and strive towards renewing their joy in life. She understands and enjoys working with people in helping professions struggling with burnout and those working in church or mission settings as well. She has a strong desire to serve her community and help others meet their personal goals. When Katie isn’t working you can find her hiking with her dog, running on the trails, and enjoying a good cup of coffee with her husband.
