About Me
I strongly believe therapy is about identifying and utilizing YOUR strengths to heal and reach YOUR goals. I also believe therapy should be productive and include humor; it's hard work but doesn't have to be miserable. I specialize in treating trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, and substance use. As a former first responder, I am also passionate about working with military veterans, emergency responders and their families. I use a variety of techniques including Brainspotting, EMDR, CBT, DBT, and animal assisted interventions (with dogs). Fancy letters aside, I prefer to use effective interventions that have been researched and proven to be effective. I work with adults, children, teens, families, and couples. My favorite clients are those who don’t want therapy, have hated it in the past, or are fearful of being judged. I am a very non-judgmental and down to earth person with a sense of humor....that is appropriate most of the time, LOL!
