About Me
I have extensive professional experience as a therapist across various settings, specializing in trauma, family systems, emotional regulation, and the mind-body connection. Currently, I provide individual therapy using modalities such as CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, conducting biopsychosocial assessments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. My work includes delivering therapy focused on trauma, life skills building, and psychoeducation, as well as facilitating group therapy sessions. In crisis settings, I have worked as a clinician providing interventions and assessments, including suicide risk evaluations and referrals for inpatient care. My background also includes roles in psychiatric hospitals, incarceration settings, and community-based organizations, where I provided therapeutic services, case management, and support for individuals and families dealing with complex challenges. I hold a Master’s in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling and am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), dedicated to delivering comprehensive, client-centered care.
I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches to support individuals in improving their emotional well-being and coping strategies. Mindfulness-Based Therapy helps clients connect with their bodies, fostering insight and emotional regulation, which makes managing stress and emotions more manageable. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) plays a central role in my practice, guiding clients to shift distorted thought patterns and modify behaviors, ultimately improving their confidence and functioning. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy emphasizes providing effective, goal-driven support, while Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) enhances distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and mindfulness. Additionally, I prioritize trauma-informed care, recognizing the profound impact of both "Big T" and "Little T" traumas and providing a sensitive, individualized approach to healing. Together, these methods empower clients to gain greater control over their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, ultimately improving their overall quality of life.
