Letter from SVC-CAMFT

April 1, 2020

Dear {Contact_FullName},

It is my hope you are taking time to care for yourself during these unprecedented times. Self-care is not merely an elusive concept but a vital necessity to help us be our best while supporting others. Please take the deliberate steps to ensure you are safe and well.

Although our workshops and meetings have been cancelled, we are finding ways to stay connected and support one another through virtual meetings. On March 19, 2020, SVC-CAMFT hosted our first virtual Community Huddle where we checked-in with one another amidst Covid-19. We discussed transitioning to telehealth. We took time to connect by acknowledging our own concerns and sharing our gratitude. Our next Free Community Huddle is Tuesday, April 28, 2020.  We also have a COVID-19 Resource Page for mental health professionals.

Our MeetUps have now moved to online.  The first virtual MeetUp for LGBTQ+ Mental Health Professionals is Monday, April 13, 2020 at 6:00pm. The virtual MeetUp for Mental Health Professionals of Color is Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 6:00pm.

Next month is Mental Health Awareness Month. Please plan to walk with SVC-CAMFT on Saturday, May 30, 2020 for the first Virtual NAMI Walk. You chose the location whether on a treadmill, in your neighborhood or a nearby park. You can register and join our team here.

Be well,

Linita Morris, LMFT

SVC-CAMFT President
